This joint is jumpin’, with some of the best live blues, roots and traditional Irish music in NYC three nights a week. And as always, there’s no cover. Just rock up.
Note: if these musicians aren’t available, substitutes will stand in. So the gig will go on. And will still knock your socks off.
Wednesdays in The Parlor
Blues with Mara Kaye and Conal Fowkes, 8:00pm–11:00pm
Mara Kaye was born in Brooklyn and born to sing the blues.
Her charismatic performances have sold out venues all over NYC and beyond. Accompanied by authentic blues veterans – including Grammy-winning jazz pianist Conal Fowkes – Mara brings her own uniquely modern approach to a historic genre. And every Thursday morning you get the chance to say you were there last night.
Sundays in The Taproom
The World-Famous Sunday Seisiún, 6:30pm–10:30pm
The Sunday Seisiún is led by uilleann piper and low whistle player Cillian Vallely of Lúnasa, “the hottest Celtic band on the planet” (Irish Voice). He has toured the world with Lúnasa and has guested on over 50 albums for artists including Bruce Springsteen and Mary Chapin-Carpenter. Cillian is joined by a rotating group of the very finest Irish musicians around. Expect authentic airs, jigs, reels and rowdiness. Just the way to round off the weekend.
